I began my professional career in Law Enforcement Studies because I believed in fairness and equality but also the value of order and safety of the community. Due to a car accident, I was forced to shift my focus on a less physical profession and I began working in Insurance sales and service. I worked for 2 years as a solicitor for an Agent with my Property & Casualty license and enjoyed helping clients fulfill their insurance needs and provide above and beyond service.
When the Agent closed their business, I moved onto the financial world, specifically Mortgage Lending. I was entrusted with sensitive personal financial information of my clients and worked with time sensitive files that required a high level of detail. I passed the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Test with the highest score recorded for the area and I worked for 8 years in this field, until my daughter was born, and I decided to stay home with my children for 2 years while they were young.
While at home with my kids, I went back to school full-time and worked at night to pursue nursing and dental assistant certifications. Once I was finished with school, I began working as a Surgical Assistant and worked for about 9 years for a Surgeon, starting fresh out of school and working my way up to the lead assistant and office manager. I fully oversaw the multimillion-dollar practice’s scheduling, supply ordering, California and Federal state compliance records, medical and dental insurance billing, patient treatment planning and payment options, employee training, along with being the lead assistant to the Doctor in daily surgical procedures.
I loved working with patients and providing professional care as well as personal compassion for the difficult and life changing accidents or events they experience, but during some time off after my father’s death, I decided to begin working more as a self-employed entrepreneur. Although I have loved my different jobs over the years, I had such a strong drive and work ethic that I felt I could achieve more and give back to my community more freely working for myself. My husband and I have since began a few startup companies, invested in several properties, and I am now ready to dig into a business that is a long term structured company.
I have come full circle, as they say I suppose, to the insurance world. I am excited about the chance to partner with a company that has a strong name in the community and has the same high ethics and values for the people and places we are involved with as I feel I have.
